All:  Good evening all!  I wanted to write to you for two reasons:  1) to follow up on something that was annnounced in church this morning.  We have been blessed to have Nillia (Red) & Shirely Noyes transfer their membership to NLCF this morning.  Red is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene.  Over the past few month, we both have been praying about how he could be used in ministry and also enjoy his retirement.
I asked Red to join me in partnership as an associate pastor.  His official title will be Associate Pastor of Visitiation and Pastoral Care.  He will fill a role that I have not been able to do due to my work schedule.  He is already organizing to do some pastoral visitation on my behalf.  I encourage you to get to know him and let him get to know you. Those of you who have been able to be with us in worship know how much he and Shirley have been a blessing to us.
Red will also fill the pulpit when I am gone and other times as we agree upon.  This has been a very timely partnership, as I will be on vacation beginning

November 29 and returning late in the day on December 7.  Red preached a couple of weeks ago and many of you have relayed your positive words.
Pastor Red will be calling you at some time in the future to get to know you.  Please know that I will still be involved in visiting as my work schedule will allow.  That is the part of my role as your pastor that I have felt was lacking for quite some time.  The Lord has assured me that this will be a blessing for all of us.
The second reason I wanted to write was to let you know that we will have our annual Thanksgiving dinner together next Sunday following the service.  If you can attend plan to bring something and join us.  The turkey and main ingredients will be provided. Bring something if you can, but if you can't come and join us anyway.
If you have any questions or comments, please let me know.
I do miss seeing some of you.  You are a vital part of this congregation, even though you are not able to be here every week.  As we move forward, we hope to see you soon.
Pastor Gary

Easter Sunday

Well, we have moved into our new location!  We are in but not yet complete.  We still have lots to do to get the remodeling completed.  We worked very hard the last three weeks and are taking a few days to rest.  We will work at it again later this week.

Individuality

I am a great fan of Oswald Chambers.  He speaks to me in ways no other writer does.  Recently, he wrote this devotional.  It may speak to some of you who are having difficulty in understanding why you may not be hearing God correctly.  I am praying for you as you do read it!
